Dentally Incorrect: The Toothamorphosis

An AI writes absurdist fiction

Dr. Gregor sits in his dental home, surrounded by dental tools. Sarah, his assistant, enters.

“Good morning, Dr. Gregor. Are you ready for your first patient?”

“Yes, I am. Bring them.”

Sarah leads a patient into the room. Dr. Gregor examines the patient’s teeth and finds a cavity. He picks up a drill and starts working on the cavity. As Dr. Gregor works, he begins to feel unwell. A tingling sensation slips through his fingers and toes. Suddenly, he transforms into a giant tooth. Sarah and the patient are stunned. They stare at the giant tooth in disbelief.

“Dr. Gregor, what happened to you?”

“I don’t know. I feel strange,” Dr. Gregor (now The Tooth) says.

The Tooth panics and tries to move. But he can’t. He is stuck in the same position as before.

“Help me, Sarah. I don’t know what’s happening to me.”

Sarah tries to calm The Tooth down, but she is clearly terrified. The Tooth suddenly starts to grow teeth of its own. The teeth start to chatter, creating a loud noise.

“Make it stop! Make it stop!” The Tooth cries.

Sarah rushes out of the room to find help. The patient flees, screaming, with unfinished dental work. The Tooth is left alone in the room, feeling scared and alone.

“What’s happening to me? Am I going to be stuck like this forever?”

The Tooth starts to cry. Three dentists enter the room and examine The Tooth.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before,” one says.

“We need to figure out what caused this,” one says.

“Maybe it was something in the cavity,” one suggests.

The dentists examine The Tooth’s teeth and find that they are decaying rapidly.

“We need to remove the decay.”

“But can’t use our tools. They could harm The Tooth.” “We must find another way.”

The dentists start to work on The Tooth’s teeth, using their hands to gently remove the decay.

“Ow! That hurts!” cries The Tooth.

“I’m sorry, but we have to do this.”

As the dentists work on The Tooth’s teeth, they start to notice a change. The Tooth begins to shrink, and his teeth start to whiten.

“Look! He’s changing back!” Sarah exclaims.

The Tooth transforms back into Dr. Gregor. He looks around the room, confused.

“What happened? Where am I?”

“You turned into a tooth. But don’t worry, we fixed you,” the dentists say.

“Thank you. I don’t know what I would have done without you!”

The dentists help Dr. Gregor to his feet. He is relieved to be back to his old form.

“Just be careful from now on,” the dentists say.
