Consultant Kevin Rose talks leadership, marketing, business decisions and the things that make it hard work to own a dental practice
You’ve created a series of seminars and events. What’s the motivation behind developing the programme?
Many dental practice owners will recognise that they need to develop both themselves and their teams, as part of building and maintaining a successful dental business. The tricky part often is working out where they need to start, what areas they need to develop, and being confident that any money they invest will prove to be value for money. This holds many dental practices back from reaching their real potential.
How does the series work?
With a subscription-based leadership and business development programme, members receive unlimited access to two workshops per month at two locations, for as many members of their team as they want.
Each workshop covers one of the eight essential areas that we know cause blockages in any dental business. The format, content and learnings from each workshop have been tested and successfully applied with our clients.
Why a subscription service,
and who should be attending?
The benefit of a subscription service is that it puts each person in control of who attends the workshops and how often they attend. Some workshops are designed more for practice owners and managers, while others are more for the whole team.
We publish the dates and venues for each of the 24 workshops up to a year in advance, giving practice owners the flexibility to plan ahead to match the learnings from each workshop with their needs, or those of their teams.
Learning and discovering, developing a dental business and having access to all of the resources that they need is available to subscribers at a fixed cost.
Tell us more about the leadership and business development event.
If dentists are tired of owning a dental practice and listening to the same old voices and not seeing the results that they want, then it’s time to do something different by looking outside of dentistry.
This is not your normal dental event! We’ve sourced speakers who are world-leading experts in their fields, with the width of perspective and depth of experience to tackle and permanently remove the leadership and business development problems that exist in many dental businesses.
Get Insights events are designed to be a breakthrough day for dental businesses.
Who are the speakers?
We’ve chosen a range of speakers with diverse leadership and business expertise. Their knowledge and experience is valuable for any business owner. Tony Kilcoyne will be making sure that the focus is specifically relevant to a dental practice.
Graham Rowntree played rugby for England and now coaches national teams.
If you think getting your team to behave the way you want is tough, try doing it in a stadium with thousands of people watching! Rowntree will tell attendees how he does it successfully and how they can apply the same techniques in their practices.
Is owning a dental business becoming a nightmare?
Rachel Elnaugh has had her own share of business nightmares, and as one of
TV’s first Dragons, she will tell attendees what to do to avoid the same common business mistakes that could destroy their dental businesses.
For those who are thinking that it’s harder to succeed in dentistry, Mark Shayler has some good news. He fixes the same problems that they have to—he just does it for global brands, and will tell attendees how he does it.
Rob Whittaker coaches CEOs to make big decisions and have enough time to run big businesses. Whittaker will show seminar guests how he does it and how easy it can be for them, as well.
And yes, we know this is ‘not your usual dental course’, but to make sure that no question, opportunity or insight is missed, we’ve brought in Tony Kilcoyne. There will be no stock presentations, after-dinner speeches or pitches—we’ve put him in charge of that.
