Steven Barlow What is your background in dental?
Barlow: Initially, we began in the hospitality sector. About a year ago, a dentist noticed our solution and believed it would fill a large communication void in his practice. Since then, we have become a technology solutions provider for Aspen Dental and many private dental offices across California, in both small and larger-sized offices.

Tell me about Kallpod Health, and what you provide.
Barlow: Kallpod was established in 2013 as an innovative technology platform that improves communication and operational flow in a variety of different industries. Our fully wireless platform includes a one-, three-, or six-button Kallpod that is placed across spaces within an office, and a KallWatch or KallBeltClip that the staff members wear.

For example, with the press of a Kallpod, a dental assistant can silently and directly notify the dentist that a patient is ready to be seen, or the front desk can summon a specific team member. The system is also easily upgradable should an office expand, and transferable, should an office move its location.

You are in an elevator. A man asks what your company does. You have 15 seconds before the door opens. What do you say?
Barlow: Kallpod is a fully customizable communication solution that replaces limited, outdated and expensive wired systems.

Our fully customizable platform connects two or more parties to each other in a silent, wireless and direct way without the users needing to look at a computer screen or use headsets.

What is the philosophy at Kallpod?
Barlow: Transforming health care through better communication. In an environment where nonverbal communication is critical, Kallpod improves teamwork and, ultimately, the quality of care provided to patients.

What would you consider to be the best-kept secret about Kallpod?
Barlow: We are a customer-service solutions provider, not an equipment company. We provide a customized technology solution that is catered to each individual venue with a fully encompassing, 24-hour customer support team.

The platform is very initiative and onboarding is very simple and usually done remotely.
