The concept of “user-friendliness” will also be discussed. This section will also introduce a new glass ionomer based obturation technique.

Synopsis:We are all familiar with the complications of forceps extraction, including fracture of the tooth or adjacent bone, which may then require elevation of a surgical flap and removal of bone to complete the procedure. A new design of exodontia instruments has been introduced that modifies the surgical procedure to minimize trauma to the extraction site. These instruments are demonstrated, and typical cases are illustrated.
Educational objectives:Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following: - Discuss the pre-treatment diagnosis of the edentulous or partially edentulous patient
- Discuss classification systems that aid in diagnosis
- Present treatment planning guidelines when considering the full arch implant restoration
- Provide a step-by-step for the fabrication of a fixed implant restoration
- Discuss key factors involved with the immediate loading of full arch, fixed restorations
