How to Add Your Dental Website to Google My Business (GMB)

Google My Business is Google’s way of allowing your organization to appear in local searches directly within search. A GMB profile is the box that appears on the right side of the search results containing business information. For example, when you search ‘The Dental SEO Experts, Orange County,’ our telephone number, website, office hours, and social media style posts appear directly in search.

Enrolling your business in GMB helps to increase your online credibility. When local web users see your profile pop up in search, they can rest assured that you are a legitimate business verified by Google. With embedded contact information on your GMB profile, it makes it more convenient for customers to get in touch, increasing the possibility of leads.

If having a Google My Business account sounds appealing to you, keep reading to learn how to add your business to GMB.

Sign Up for GMB

  1. Create a Google account if you don’t already have one using your business email/domain
  2.
  3. Navigate to https://business.google.com/create
  4.
  5. Here, you can search for your business through Google’s vast directory or add a new company by entering its name
  6.
  7. Add your business category, then click ‘next’
  8.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions as they appear

Before your Google profile goes live, you will need to verify your account. This is done with an SMS verification code or phone call.

If your business already appears on Google Maps, you can claim your business profile through it.

  1. Open Google Maps
  2.
  3. Locate your business premises
  4.
