This built in cavitron is getting really hot. Burning gums and fingers. We turned adjustable power down but still gets really hot. Anyone know the fix? Thanks. Is the water adjusted properly? Second the water flow. It is more about keeping the handpiece stacks cool that it is to flushing debris

some oraqix on the gums and clean the teeth. if it takes a little more time, then schedule it accordingly. scaling/root planing is not the indicated treatment in the absence of bone loss and pocketing. the code D4346 scaling in presence of generalized moderate or severe gingival inflammation - would be applicable and may be covered by insurance but it doesn't go into effect until jan 2017.
