The patient doesnt have amalgam at the gum line and no evidence of amalgam tattoo on the gingiva, what could it be? Does that bone distal of the second molars look normal? I think that's a chunk of amalgam ...probably some flash from the filling that bone distal to the 2nd molar looks like bone that was placed in there after the wisdom tooth was removed...I could be wrong... I'm in the boat of everyone that says Fl tx and monitor I think its important to remember that while a majority of our fillings go fine (no sens, gums are fine, don't nick the tooth next to it, no issues with anesthetizing) there is a Risk and Benefit to be considered every time we offer
