at the gum line (2mm ferrule)...can I place the partial in the mouth , then scan that and build a crown around the clasps and rests..or should I try to build the tooth up in composite a make it fit the existing partial ..and use pre-op to design..any help appreciated I'd build the tooth in resin first

This was a doozie. Canine completely gone at gum level due to decay. I did endo, post and hard tissue crown lengthening then allowed to heal for two months. 12 needed a crown as well so I splinted the restorations to give the canine more stability. Difficult case, pt is young withhigh

. Insert. Gums got a bit white from the surpass 1. Not bad, not great. Happy with the shape and #10 is a bit dried out, the incisal 1/3 wasn't that chalky when I shade matched. Overall took about 2 hours and that included firing a second time as I was light with my shade the first time
