that's the politics you play with a minority working in the government service. Patient centered care :). 'My teeth are healthy, just my gum sore'. To her credit, post-op she was as happy as a clam when the periodontal condition improved. Go figure.Did you apply fluoride to the root surfaces afterwards? Very interesting.

. xrayvisions upgrade, called something else, has a monthly fee which im trying to avoid. i hate monthlies. Any of the on prem products can be bought but support will probably be a monthly cost. Look at DEXIS or XDR. Best of luck, TJ Gum doc said they are not going to get rid of their cash cow (XV Assistant). They are leasing it to companies like DentiMax. Once you establish some connection with DentiMax, I feel they will support the software

Here's my thoughts as I look at them A) think in 3D. Teeth are not square and uniform. Theres root concavities

Healthy 75 year old patient presents for a new patient exam. After we took our initial series of images, the hygienist insisted that there were scratches on her images and wasn't sure if we needed to send out out our sensor for repair. After seeing that the scratches were different on each image

an otherwise healthy tooth for an enamel only lesion. I hate it when I start doing a filling only to realize it was a tiny decay barely on dentin. I feel I've just added a risk factor to that pt. Fluoride varnish and rinses work great if pt has the discipline to use it. I haven't used Curodent but I would

at the 6 month interval I there are probings of 4mm or above. These are important practices to keep our patients healthy. I want to know if my patient has an oral ulceration, so I can recheck it in 1 month. If it hasn't healed, they are going for a biopsy. That is the SOC. I want to know if my perio

you let me know what are the less than healthy imaging plate materials. I am really really really excited to hear this. Sort of. The standard warranty is 2 years. Almost everyone who gets XDR also get the 5-year replacement policy, which allows you to get a new sensor at a greatly reduced price

stuff too. Just makes me more confident to see the whole picture, even if I do refer out most of the 3rds and ortho. I found a huge cyst in an otherwise perfectly healthy 20 year old that got treated and avoided a broken jaw because of a routine pano. Stuff like that makes it worth it, even

For healthy patients often the pan and BW's are the new patient exam. More heavily restored patients may require

the sensor for damage. What's left is not a usable sensor, it's now just the raw materials. Even if the sensor were usable at that point (it's not), you don't want it back, you'd be exposed to less-than-healthy imaging plate materials. Any suggestion that they take those unrepairable sensors and fix them
