Had a CEREC molar crown to seat, all stringed up, bonded ready for cementation. The gums were maybe a mm above the gums in the mesial. The heme issues were controlled up to the point of checking the seat of the crown, just prior to cementation. The crown seated just fine, but upon removing

with a higher cuff height and prep the buccal and lingual down to the gum line or just subgingival. Seems like the deepest areas on the stock abutments are always interproximal so that will at least help having the margin a little coronal in those areas. Also better to clean the cement. and are much happier!! No more moving things from room to room, etc They have just done a MAJOR MAJOR upgrades , where you can have no filtering, just the gum, or just the teeth and 1mm of gum. Makes the scanning process much easier, heaps less cheek and tongue gets in the way!!! What I would suggest

. For that reason I will now place the margin at the gum line to the buccal. To the palatal, as supra gingival as possible. Same interproximally. elderly patients come in with a max anterior snapped off at the gum line and tooth really needs endo crown/crown lengthening. I can extract and put an implant in immediately and a temporary crown for less money and much less trauma for the patient.

The HT can look a little gray-ish from this view however the occlusal looks better as an HT.I would believe the periodontal tissues would be healthier without placement of a subgingival margin. Esthetics are not a concern in this case. Pulpal and periodontal health considerations would incline me

could definitely see the benefit of that. Right now with bluecam, I use a traditional two cord technique for full coverage crowns. Do you find with full coverage using the omnicam you can prep to an equi-gingival level then scan without any cord at all? Anything else above the gum line goes alot quicker of course.Do a search on YouTube for Cerecology. I have a video about 'going deep.' You'll see how Omnicam really works!will do! thanks

and a powder meister. As long as your assistant keeps it clean and full, it works like a charm. I used to struggle with it at first, but once we got the habit of filling it after every case and keeping it clean, it works very nicely. a hand made temp. i use export the cerec connect image into regular cerec and mill it. flush margins, good gum tissue with great contacts and holds crown and my gold cerec connect crowns pop in easily. my temp skills aren't on par with my cerec...Still like empress in the anterior, it is more esthetic

I did a EMax crown back in March of 2015. The margin is very deep near the bone. Some might want to do a crown lenghening surgery. Thanks to Cerec my patient was spared of that surgery. 3 year recall shows healthy interproximal gingiva with no bone loss March of 2015 May of 2018 No cords

probably cover the buccal especially with how undermined the cusp was. I know some love the partial coverage etc. but I often just run them most of the way down to just above the gums with a light prep. Mostly cause if I end the margin halfway down the tooth and it does happen to show the patient

Yeah, some people do 2mm butt margins to the gum, but it's not necessary. So you can't say that Cerec preps
