This article is an overview of the essentials that accept that the endorestorative continuum is not a concept. Rather, it is a de facto treatment approach. “Clean, shape and pack,” with hindsight, should have been “shape, clean and pack”—but even that was a somewhat simplistic approach. Debridement, disinfection and microstructural replication due to the introduction of adaptive bioceramic technologies for root filling are increasingly being recognized as the standard for optimal endodontic therapy.
