ATLANTA – Carestream Dental today released CS SoftDent v15.0, the latest version of
the popular practice management software. The updated version features the new
Scheduler, the most advanced scheduling software in the oral health industry.
For nearly thirty years, SoftDent has been responsible for delivering the tools practices
need to effectively manage their time, including intuitive appointment scheduling,
charting and detailed financial reporting. For the first time, the software is being
introduced as CS SoftDent to better align with the Carestream Dental brand. Not only
does CS SoftDent serve as a reliable foundation for practices’ front office teams, but it is
also fully compatible with Carestream Dental’s imaging software, allowing for easy
access to patients’ diagnostic images.
In addition to the features customers have come to expect from CS SoftDent, the new
Scheduler is designed to give practice administrators a better handle on the interruptive
environment of the front desk. The Scheduler is intuitive and easy to use, delivering
multi-tasking capabilities so users can easily resume partially completed tasks.
Practitioners can add and schedule patients in one, simple step with the advanced drag
and drop functionality. Further simplifying the scheduling process, CS SoftDent
automatically checks for duplicate entries. With the AutoScheduler feature, users can
input appointment criteria (desired provider, times and days) to immediately view all
available appointments.
Improving patient care, the Scheduler puts critical data, including outstanding treatments
and re-care needs, right at practitioners’ fingertips with the flyout feature. New patients
are easily added, as the software automatically carries over information to other entry
points of the patient file – eliminating mistakes. Additionally, the Scheduler streamlines
communication, allowing practitioners to access patient contact information and email
individuals directly within the software.
For added convenience, users have the ability to customize the Scheduler’s display
according to their own preferences.
“The oral health industry is a demanding field, and practices are constantly seeking ways
to streamline their daily tasks so they can focus on what matters most – their patients,”
said Kathy Ford, vice president of product line management for Carestream Dental. “The
