Posted: December 27, 2024
The article compares the effectiveness of a serious game to a pre-recorded lecture in teaching dental students diagnosis and treatment planning for oral lesions. The research conducted a crossover randomized control trial with 75 dental undergraduates and found significant knowledge improvement in both groups after the initial instructional approaches. While the serious game was as effective as the lecture, it highlighted the potential of interactive learning tools like serious games in dental education.
