Impact of Mobile Application in Teaching Oral Health Needs Assessment to Dental Students

A non-randomized trial investigated the effectiveness of a mobile application for teaching population oral health needs assessment to dental students. While most students had positive attitudes towards mobile learning, both the intervention group using the app and the control group showed limited knowledge gain from the content. The study did not show significant superiority of the app over traditional teaching methods. However, the high mobile usage and positive attitude towards mobile learning among students suggest potential for further exploration in dental education.
