Yet many traditional mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) materials require clinicians to interrupt their restorative workflow, delaying definitive restoration placement while the material sets. At the core of MTA vpt is a tricalcium silicate formulation designed to support natural pulp healing. Combined with very low water solubility, MTA vpt forms a durable, bacteria resistant seal that provides a stable foundation for long-term clinical success. Unlike resin-containing pulp-capping materials, MTA vpt is completely monomer-free, offering exceptional biocompatibility in close proximity to vital pulp tissue.

MTA vpt also addresses many of the clinical limitations associated with previous generations of MTA. The material begins as a light blue color for excellent visibility during placement before curing permanently white, eliminating concerns about discoloration associated with bismuth oxide or ferrous compounds. More than twice the compressive strength of previous MTA generations provides a durable restorative foundation, while a radiopacity of 290% Al makes the material easy to identify during follow-up radiographic evaluations.

Designed and priced for everyday dentistry, MTA vpt is indicated for direct and indirect pulp capping as well as pulpotomy procedures in both permanent and primary teeth.
