ADA Welcomes Dr. Jonathan Burke as New Director of the NIDCR

Chicago—The American Dental Association (ADA) welcomed Jonathan Burke, DMD, as the new director of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR).

Burke is a practicing dentist and board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with experience in clinical care, academics and craniofacial health. In his new role, he will lead NIDCR's work supporting dental, oral and craniofacial research.

ADA President Rich Rosato, DMD, congratulated Burke and highlighted his contributions to research aimed at improving oral health. The ADA also thanked Jennifer Webster-Cyriaque, DDS, PhD, for her leadership of NIDCR during the transition period.
