Washington, D.C.—The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) has released an interactive report examining national trends among applicants and first-time, first-year enrollees at accredited U.S. dental schools from 2015 through 2025.

The report found that more than 13,600 people applied to dental school for the 2025 entering class, a 16% increase over the past decade. First-time, first-year enrollment also reached a 10-year high, although applicant growth has outpaced enrollment growth. Geographic patterns remained relatively stable, with applicant volume increasing in the South and West and declining slightly in the Midwest and Northeast.

The report includes interactive data on applicant and enrollment trends, academic indicators and geographic patterns.
