Henry Schein’s new Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator, a disposable device that attaches to any standard HVE connection, allows for aerosol control at the source and can be used in conjunction with a saliva ejector. The device extracts up to 90% of aerosols during aerosol-generating procedures (average reduction based on tests conducted in an aerosol testing chamber and measured by laser-light scattering photometry).

The extraoral product placement allows for hands-free suction of aerosols at the exit of the oral cavity, delivering comfort for the patient and ease of use for the hygienist. The evacuator has a universal size with malleable “wings” that comfortably adjust to the patient’s mouth. This low-profile, single-piece device provides minimal interference at the procedure location, especially when compared with intraoral options.
