And the Winner is...
The 2009 Townie Choice Awards Welcome to the December 2009 Townie Choice Awards showcase, where we reveal which products, equipment and services were your favorites for the year! As in previous years, winners of the coveted Townie Choice Awards are determined by true dental professionals who are aided and served by the items in each category on a day-to-day basis.
Economics, advertising, case studies and expert opinions all carry some considerable weight when it comes to certain decisions we make in our practices. But, as you know – even just from scanning the interactions between Townies on the Dentaltown.com message boards – the opinions of your peers can be the most valuable determining factor as to whether you should introduce a new or different product or service into your practice. And that’s what the Townie Choice Awards sets out to do each and every year – obtaining the largest opinion, vote by vote, from your dental colleagues to shake out and recognize the overall leader in each category from anesthetics to zirconia. We thank those of you who participated in this year’s survey. If you did not vote and you’ve noticed that some of your favorite products did not win in their categories, don’t fret, you can contribute and help change the results next year!
In some categories the winner was chosen by a landslide, and
there were some pretty close calls in others. If you’d like to see how
close some of these contests were, check out the list of runners-up
on Dentaltown.com. Thanks for voting and continually making the
Dentaltown community such a success!
Congratulations To Our $1,000 Winner
Voters of the Townie Choice Awards were automatically entered
in a drawing to win $1,000. This year’s winner is Dr. Monique
Nadeau of Farmington, Connecticut.
“Dentaltown isn’t just a Web site or a magazine.
Dentaltown is a community. The more you read the message
boards the more you get to ‘know’ people and their practices.
I have made great friends through the Web site. I even met my
husband at the annual Dentaltown meeting in Las Vegas!”
Also known as “Mokie” on the Dentaltown message
boards, Dr. Monique Nadeau was born and raised in
upstate New York. After high school she attended Siena
College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree
in Biology. Dr. Nadeau then went on to the University
of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where she
received her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1998 and in
1999 she completed an Advanced Education in General
Dentistry Residency. In 2001, Dr. Nadeau founded
Farmington Village Dental Associates, LLC.
“Dentaltown is a fantastic source of information and
ideas. My practice would not be as successful as it is without
it.” – Marie Leland |
