As comprehensive practitioners, we strive to deliver the very best that we can for our patients. Too many times, it seems that our best training fails to follow through to the patient committing to treatment. In this lecture, we explore the triad of progressing with our patients to treatment success. We also explore foundational knowledge as well as actual case application as we blend the concepts of communication, treatment planning and occlusion into restorative success.
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Michael Melkers is a 1994 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and practices in Hanover, New Hampshire with an emphasis on comprehensive and restorative care. Dr. Melkers balances his time between private practice, teaching research and publishing, and has presented and been published around the world.
Dr. Melkers is the founder of Townie Fiesta, the Nuts & Bolts Occlusion programs and is former director of Occlusion & Aesthetic Dentistry at the Pacific Northwest AEGD Residency Program. He is also the second top poster on Dentaltown.com and an administrator for the Dentaltown message boards.
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
- Communication—beginning with listening for case focus and acceptance.
- Occlusion—bringing the pieces together for treatment success and longevity.
