BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – March 10, 2014 – Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC), a leading dental service organization based in metro Detroit, today announced the appointment of Don Klacking to Chief Financial Officer. Klacking previously served as the company’s Vice President of Finance since 2012.
In his new role, Klacking will be responsible for oversight of all financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting and planning; treasury management; and establishing accounting practices. Klacking will also play a critical role in executing some of GEDC’s most critical strategic initiatives and oversee company affiliations, which include integration of dental practices that GEDC affiliates. Additionally, Klacking is actively involved in the company’s community outreach and philanthropic efforts. He is highly involved with the team that evaluates and selects the charitable endeavors the company supports and has donated his time to small businesses in Detroit to provide finance and accounting counsel.

Prior to joining GEDC, Klacking was a director in the transaction services practice at KPMG and began his career at Plante Moran where he assisted public and private company’s growth efforts. He is a certified public accountant and received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Western Michigan University.
