MELVILLE, N.Y.—Henry Schein is marking the 20th anniversary of Practice Pink, its global initiative that brings together health care professionals, supplier partners, employees, and nonprofit organizations to support cancer research and prevention.

Through the program, Henry Schein offers customers pink products, including health care consumables, practice supplies, and apparel, with purchases supporting cancer-related causes. The company said it and its partners have contributed more than $2.1 million since the program began.

Participating countries support local organizations focused on cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. Beneficiaries include Ronald McDonald House Charities in the U.S. and, in Europe, ALADINA in Spain, Cancer Research UK, KWF in the Netherlands, LILT in Italy, and Odyssea in France.

The anniversary comes as the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the World Health Organization’s cancer agency, estimates that one in five people worldwide will develop cancer during their lifetime.

Practice Pink is part of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s corporate citizenship program, which marks its 25th anniversary this year.
