New Financial Claims and Audit Service Opens

Pacific Northwest Client Services, a new company offering U.S.-based doctors easier fi ling and faster payment of medical insurance claims, is now open for business. The company’s owner and operator, Sarah Durbin, says the company can handle the entire insurance billing process for a practice, including fi ling claims, following rejected or denied ones, and collecting unpaid debts.

PNW Client Services will also offer transcription, document management, remote data backup, credentialing, audit preparation, and advanced billing and EHR software.

Aligner Company Candid Shifts Focus to Dentist Network Model

Candid, a clear aligner company, is closing down its direct-to-consumer business and its 45 Candid Studios.

The company now will be focused only on growing its nationwide network of CandidPro dentists by partnering with dental practices and DSOs to offer telehealth clear aligner therapy.

Most patients Candid have treated expressed interest in starting their remote clear aligner treatment in the care of a dentist, and the company responded by focusing on its hybrid remote/in-office model. Since CandidPro’s launch, it has become available in more than 300 individual dental practices across the country and Candid has partnered with several DSOs. By the end of 2022, CandidPro plans to have more than 1,000 offices and a presence in all 50 states.

Glidewell To Present Educational Symposium in Southern California

Glidewell has opened registration for its 2022 symposium “Implants: The Next Level.” Scheduled for June 24–25 in Irvine, California, the event will provide clinical education designed to help dentists make implant dentistry a bigger part of their everyday practices. Attendees will earn nine hours of continuing education units.

The first day will include podium presentations, with topics including single-tooth implant placement, bone grafting and ridge augmentation, implant overdentures, and full-arch surgical and restorative procedures. Dental experts will share insights during panel discussions and a tour of the Glidewell campus will be provided during the lunch break. After the first day, attendees are invited to a hosted cocktail party and dinner at the home of Jim and Parvina Glidewell.

On the second day, attendees can choose from nine hands-on workshops and focused lectures. Topics include clinical photography, practice management, digitally guided implant surgery and practical guidance on avoiding complications in implant dentistry.
