TC24A LED Curing Light
Spring Health Products has added to its curing light family with the TC24A, a corded light that mounts on the delivery system like a handpiece. It features a flatback head and an 11mm lens. The low-profile design ensures easy access to all areas of the mouth while the front and back power buttons allow for easy operation.
The light provides a 1400 mW/cm² high intensity and 700 mW/cm² on low intensity, delivering consistent, uniform power to the curing site. The multiwavelength LED has four diodes producing high-intensity light at 440 to 460nm.

BrackFix
Voco recently introduced BrackFix, a light-cured bracket bonding system designed to simplify the removal of the residual adhesive by making it easily visible as it fluoresces under UV light. The system will ensure that after removal of the brackets, all adhesive is removed, while minimizing, if not eliminating, any unnecessary damage to the tooth itself. This should also speed up the bracket removal process since all material to be removed is immediately apparent and visible.
The consistency and viscosity of BrackFix is designed so that brackets can be positioned precisely, do not slip, and stay in the intended position. This simplifies the application and allows the clinician to take as much time as needed.
