Public Notice Regarding Townie Choice Awards

Purpose of the Townie Choice Awards: To provide dentists with an impartial resource to assist them in their selection of dental products, equipment and services.

Fees to participate: NONE

Methodology: Categories of the most common dental products, equipment and services are developed by Dentaltown Magazine with the aid of multiple industry resources and Dentaltown.com online community. For each category, all dental manufacturers are given the opportunity to submit up to three products of their choice. Dentaltown does not attempt to make any recommendations on inclusion or exclusion of any products, equipment, or services listed on the voting ballots.

Voting process: Voting is done online at www.dentaltown.com. Only dentists are allowed to vote. Each dentist can vote only once.

Results: Results will be electronically tabulated and Dentaltown Magazine will publish the winning entries for each category in our December issue. The entire result set, including votes per entry and total number of votes per category, will be made available online at www.dentaltown.com after the December issue of Dentaltown Magazine is printed and delivered.

Dentists:
• Vote! Make your voice be heard. Share your experience with fellow dentists.

• Provide feedback to Dentaltown as to the process of the Awards to help make this resource useful to dentists.

Dental companies:
• Participate in the Townie Choice Survey. No write-in votes will be allowed. You must enter your products into the ballot to be included in the voting process.

Steps to participate:
• Provide Dentaltown with the name and email of one person who will be in charge of entering product names into the appropriate categories.

• Dentaltown will send a unique username and password to the contact person so products can be loaded in a secure ballot.

• Load your products into the online ballot by the July 31st deadline.

• Send selected contact person from each company a secure username and password that will allow them to enter products into the ballot.

• Offer a non-biased platform to dental companies to participate in the survey.

• Provide a non-biased platform to dentists to benefit from the survey.

• Offer all dental companies an equal opportunity to list their products, equipment, and services.

• List product choices in alphabetical order.

• List winners with product images and descriptions in December special edition of Dentaltown Magazine at no charge.

• Display all survey results with voting details including number of total votes and votes per product on www.dentaltown.com.

• Provide the Townie Choice Award artwork/logo to winning companies to use on their marketing materials at no charge.

• Will not rent, sell or otherwise make available dentists’ names and their corresponding choices.
