Fill-Up!

COLTENE has announced that Fill-Up! is the newest addition to the company's restorative product line. Fill-Up! is a dual-cured, flowable composite with antibacterial zinc oxide that is used for bulk-fill posterior restorations. The product combines the esthetics and radiopacity of resin-based composites with simplified and efficient handling, allowing the bulk-fill restoration to be completed in a single step.

Its dual-cure properties (chemical plus light-curing) allow Fill-Up! to be administered to an arbitrary filling depth without the need of an additional cover layer. Fill-Up! is produced in a universal shade comparable to a VITA A2/A3 shade, providing excellent self-blend properties.

LED DayLite WireLess

Designs for Vision's new LED DayLite WireLess not only frees you from being tethered to a battery pack, but the simple modular design also uncouples the WireLess light from a specific frame or single pair of loupes.

The patent-pending design of the LED DayLite WireLess is a new concept—a self-contained headlight that can integrate with various platforms, including your existing loupes, safety eyewear, lightweight headbands, and future loupes or eyewear purchases.

The LED DayLite WireLess is not limited to one pair of loupes or built into a specific eyeglass frame, and it can be easily transferred from one platform to another. It weighs only 1.4 ounces and, when attached to a pair of loupes, the combined weight is half as much as the weight of integrated cordless lights/loupes.

The product produces over 40,000 lux at high intensity and 27,000 lux at medium intensity. The spot size of the LED DayLite WireLess will illuminate the entire oral cavity. The function of the headlight is controlled via capacitive touch.

Ceramco3 High Chroma Dentin Modifiers

DENTSPLY Prosthetics Ceramco3 porcelain provides predictable esthetics with out-of-the-bottle shades and components, allowing for a multitude of new effects.

The new and improved dentin modifiers deliver chromatic and hue effects that allow for natural variation. High Chroma, HC, modifier porcelains have the same hue and opacity as dentin, but with 70 percent more chroma. As such, HC modifiers are used to intensify the dentin chroma in the restoration. They can be used full strength or mixed in with dentin, opaceous dentin or enamel porcelains to better mimic a patient's natural variation in chromatic intensity.

Hue modifiers are used to create internal color effects to the restoration (new Orange and Intense Orange colors). Similar to the HC modifiers, hue modifiers can be used full strength or mixed with dentin, opaceous dentin or enamel porcelains for internal characterizations that are not only more durable than stains, but can also save time finishing the restoration by eliminating the staining process altogether.

EA-Z-Y Primer

Parkell has introduced a new priming agent, EA-Z-Y Primer, specifically formulated with an MDP monomer added to 4-META, allowing an enhanced bond to the silica-free, polycrystalline structure of zirconia.

EA-Z-Y Primer also works with lithium disilicate and porcelain in conjunction with adhesive resin cements.

With EA-Z-Y Primer, you eliminate the need for the use of hydrofluoric acid, and any of the risks that come with the acid, such as discomfort if it comes in contact with soft tissue.

After following the instructions for roughening the ceramic surface, all you need is one stroke. To maximize the effectiveness of EA-Z-Y Primer, leave it on the surface until it evaporates on its own. When it dries, you'll notice it glistens, so unlike some other ceramic primers, you can see where you applied it.

To maintain oral health, stains are removed by activated carbon instead of abrasion or chemical bleaching; carbon gives the toothpaste its color. "Black Is White" is lime-flavored, with no SLS, triclosan, bleaching agents or plastic particles.
