CEREC®, the first and only chairside CAD/CAM system for creating all-ceramic restorations from Sirona, is taking in-operatory restorative control to a new dimension with the introduction of its new operating system the CEREC 3D. This new and intuitive software allows CEREC 3 users to view, manipulate, change and verify all aspects of the restoration design before it is milled, providing dentists with complete confidence in an ideal marginal fit. The user-friendly CEREC 3D software provides a full 360-degree perspective, putting dentists virtually in the patient's mouth, allowing them to capitalize on their training and experience. CEREC’s latest software allows the dentist to design restorations with such accuracy it practically eliminates the need for time-consuming and difficult adjustments after placement. Dentists can design custom-milled inlays, onlays, crowns and veneers with complete confidence by making precise edits to all facets of the restoration down to the micron–before it's milled.
CEREC 3D is maximizing the dentist's chairside time by increasing the efficiency, productivity, and enjoyment of the dental practice. With a new automatic margin detector maximizing occlusal control and a realistic display of the restoration and prep together, 3-dimensional realism makes designing the restoration easy. In addition, CEREC 3D takes quadrant dentistry to the next level, allowing dentists to design multiple teeth while one is being produced.
“As a CEREC owner for the last three years, I would have never thought it possible to make my life with CEREC even better–until I got CEREC 3D,” said Dr. Scott Upright, Marlette, MI. “It not only creates spectacular results, a virtual interface makes working more fun than ever before. Now I have three hobbies: golfing, boating, and making restorations with CEREC 3D.”
With a proven track record, backed by over 100 clinical studies, the CEREC System has allowed dental professionals to provide single-visit, all-ceramic restorations for more than 15 years–with more than six million restorations placed worldwide. CEREC 3D builds on this proven technology with a new user interface that is most familiar to the way dentists already practice, allowing dentists to design restorations with confidence.

About CEREC
The CEREC method combines the adhesive bonding techniques and rapid production of all-ceramic inlays, onlays, partial crowns, veneers and crowns for the anterior, premolar and molar regions. This results in a unique combination to create biocompatible, non-metallic, natural looking restorations from durable high-quality ceramic materials, in a single treatment session, and without the need of provisional fillings.
