 The most observant readers of Dentaltown Magazine might have noticed something different in our March 2009 issue. On page 8 we listed our newly minted Editorial Advisory Board. This process started last December when we launched a search for a variety of dentists to lend a helping hand. The response was remarkable with applications coming in from around the world. Final selections were made early in 2009 and with this issue we are officially introducing our Editorial Advisory Board to the world. Members of the board will assist in review of submitted articles, selection of threads for publication and evaluation of CE articles.

I expect you will find our group is an excellent mix of academics and dentists in the trenches; online personalities from Dentaltown.com and offline luminaries.
Rebecca Bockow, DDS
Seattle, Washington
Dr. Bockow graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2007. Her dental background includes work in both in private practice and public health dentistry. She is an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. She will begin the combined orthodontic-periodontic graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2009.
Dennis Brave, DDS
Wilmington, Delaware
A diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates, Dr. Brave received his DDS degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. Formerly an associate clinical professor at the University of Pennsylvania, He currently holds a staff position at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and is a cofounder of Real World Endo.
Joe Capista, DDS
Broomall, Pennsylvania
Dr. Capista earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Temple University’s School of Dentistry in 1976. He is the founder and President of Williamsburg Dental, located in Broomall, Pennsylvania, where they have been serving clients for more than 30 years. In 2005, Dr. Capista completed training at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. He is also a nationally renowned, successful small business owner, author, motivational speaker and consultant.
Mark J. Fleming, DDS
Sarasota, Florida
Dr. Fleming is a 1978 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and maintains a full time practice in Sarasota, Florida. He is a faculty member in the CAD/CAM Dentistry Department at the prestigious Scottsdale Center for Dentistry and is co-editor for Cerecdoctors.com The Magazine.
Seth A. Gibree DMD, FAGD
Cumming, Georgia
Dr. Gibree graduated in 2001 from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at Birmingham. He is a national speaker, instructor and member of numerous dental organizations that uphold his same values and dedication to the advancement of dentistry. He is also involved with reversing the national obesity trend and improving physical fitness for people of all ages.
Stephen D. Glass, DDS, FAGD
Spring, Texas
Dr. Glass graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1999. He has been in all aspects of practice from an associate and partner, to practice owner. His practice focus is to provide comprehensive dental treatment for patients including all aspects of prosthodontics, orthodontics, implants, oral surgery and sleep dentistry.
Brian Gurinsky, DDS, MS
Denver, Colorado
Dr. Gurinsky was born in Dallas, Texas, attended dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2000, as well as a Masters and certificate in Periodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2003. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.
Eyad Haidar, DMD
Weston, Massachusetts
Dr. Haidar is a 1995 graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and holds a specialty Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics. He is a former assistant clinical professor, and is the former Director of Boston University Dental Health Center. With more than 14 years of experience, Dr. Haidar currently practices restorative and prosthodontic dentistry at his office in Weston, Massachusetts.
Joshua M. Halderman, DDS
Columbus, Ohio
Dr. Halderman graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2006. His interest in dentistry started with his hometown dentist, Dr. Terry Green. He has practiced with Dr. James Nicholls since 2006. After discovering Dentaltown, he realized that although he could never learn everything, it would now be much easier to try. He loves all aspects of dentistry but is happiest when doing surgery and implants.
Glenn C. Hanf, DMD, FAGD, PC

A 1973 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Hanf practiced in Vernon, New Jersey, before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona. He serves as a Consultant Dentist for AZ BoDEx, is active in the Los Amigos Chapter of the Flying Samaritans and has held faculty appointments at UMDNJ and ASDOH. He also coordinates Townie Golf Extravaganza and Poker Tournament for the Townie Meeting each spring.
William R. Kisker, DMD, MaCCS
Vernon Hills, Illinois
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Kisker graduated from the New Jersey Dental School in 2003 and completed a two-year general practice residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. He is a Master Member of the College of Conscious Sedation and owns a comprehensive care practice with emphasis in cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry in Vernon Hills, Illinois.
Kenneth Koch, DMD
Wilmington, Delaware
Dr. Koch received both his DMD and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is the founder and past director of the new program in Postdoctoral Endodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In addition to having maintained a private practice, limited to Endodontics, Dr. Koch has lectured extensively in both the United States and abroad and is a co-founder of Real World Endo.
Arnold I. Liebman, DDS
Brooklyn, New York
Dr. Liebman is a 1983 graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry. He has a general dental practice with an emphasis on senior care in Brooklyn, New York, and is a clinical assistant professor at NYU College of Dentistry as well as being an attendant dentist at Long Island College Hospital. Dr. Liebman is also the team dentist of the Brooklyn Aces hockey team.
Stan Mcpike, DDS
Jonesboro, Arkansas
Dr. Mcpike graduated in 1979 from The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and practices in his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He has served as secretary/treasurer and president of the Northeast Arkansas District Dental Society the tripartite arm of the ADA.
Krzysztof "Kris" Polanowski, DDS
Serocka, Wyszkowa, Poland
Dr. Polanowski graduated from Pomorska Akademia Medyczna in 1995 and opened his private practice in 1996. In 2002, Dr. Polanowski brought flexible denture technology into Poland and the Middle Europe area. He has conducted more than 30 lectures in Poland, Ukraine, and the United States. He has also published the book Full Denture Treatment and many articles.
Jay B. Reznick, DMD, MD
Tarzana, California
Dr. Reznick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his dental degree from Tufts University, and his MD degree from the University of Southern California, and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County-USC Medical Center. He frequently lectures at continuing education meetings, has numerous published articles and is one of the founders of the Web site OnlineOralSurgery.com.
Lloyd Ritchie Jr., DDS

Dr. Ritchie attended Auburn University for his undergraduate education earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 in Laboratory Technology. He is a currently on the Board of Governors of the Odontographic Society of Chicago and is a past president of the Northwest-side branch of the Chicago Dental Society. He has practiced in Northbrook, Illinois, for more than 13 years.
Glenn van As, BSc, DMD
North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Dr. van As graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1987 and is internationally known for digital documentation of laser procedures captured with the operating microscope. He achieved Advanced Proficiency from Academy of Laser Dentistry and received the 2006 Leon Goldman Award for clinical excellence. Dr. van As is a founder and past president of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.
