Synopsis:
Placement of implants needs to start from the restorative process. In this lecture you will learn how to plan the restoration, integrate this into the Galilleos Software, mill out a surgical guide and make a
custom abutment and crown for your plan. By streamlining this process you will increase your productivity and have more predictable surgical and restorative outcomes.
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Darin O’Bryan graduated in 1997 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and currently resides in Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon, where he has a clinic focusing on implant and digital dentistry. Dr. O’Bryan is a basic and advanced trainer for Patterson, a beta tester for Sirona and a faculty member for CEREC doctors. He is an internationally published author on digital and CAD/CAM dentistry, advocate for bringing digital dentistry to small town practices and avid sailor on the south coast.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
- Utilize the CEREC to design the final prosthesis for your treatment plan and the placement of your implants.
- Learn the most efficient methods for guided implant surgery utilizing all three surgical guide methods available, including chairside milled guides.
- Design custom abutments utilizing the inlab software.
- Learn how to fabricate screw-retained and cement-retained implant crowns with custom abutments.
- Learn new materials to be utilized for implant restoration.
