Synopsis:
In this first in the series, Drs. Lane Ochi, Barry Glassman and Don Malizia discuss the need to bridge the gap between restorative therapy and orofacial pain that includes damage to the dental structures from bruxism. Join us in the lively no-holds-barred session as Lane, Barry and Don tackle some extremely important dental concepts and set the stage for upcoming forums in bruxism, occlusion and in-depth molding of restorative, prosthodontic and orofacial pain principles.

Description of Speaker:
Dr. Barry Glassman is a diplomate of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, a diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, a diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a fellow of the International College of Craniomandibular Disorders. He serves on the medical advisory board of TSOI. He was on the Lehigh Valley Hospital network staff and served as a clinical instructor in craniofacial pain and sleep disorders. He continues teaching in dental sleep medicine and orofacial pain and is a popular international lecturer.

Dr. Lane Ochi, DDS, FACD, FICD, graduated with honors from the University of Southern California in 1981. He is currently an associate clinical professor in the department of restorative dentistry and was the co-director of occlusion at the USC School of Dentistry. He is also an assistant director at the Advanced Restorative Institute Dental Education Center and serves as a specialist consultant to the graduate prosthodontic program at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Los Angeles. He has lectured to national and international audiences about aesthetic restorative dentistry and occlusion. Ochi has maintained a private practice in Beverly Hills for over 40 years.

Dr. Don Malizia’s practice is limited to upper-quarter chronic pain and sleep-disturbed breathing at the Allentown Pain & Sleep Centers in Allentown and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
