Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc., announced the release of DENTRIX 10.5, the newest upgrade to the dental professional’s most popular practice management system. DENTRIX 10.5 implements many features, including a built-in time clock, chart notation capabilities, a host of new insurance claim variations, and innovative biometric capabilities. Chart Notations provides the ability to use a mouse, lightpen, or a Tablet PC to draw or annotate directly on top of the patient’s chart. Short notes, figures, circles, arrows, and more can be drawn in any color anywhere within the graphic chart. This feature also works as a patient education tool providing a visual aid when explaining a procedure to patients. Chart Notations provides four tools to help make effective annotations: pen, highlighter, eraser, and selection.
A new Time Clock allows the practice to effectively manage hourly employees. A practice can enter the employee’s rate of pay, overtime rate of pay, and whether the employee’s time should appear on reports generated by the Time Clock. One of the more convenient features is the ability to export payroll data so it can be imported by a spreadsheet or other financial application.
In addition, DENTRIX 10.5 presents Biometric capabilities. DENTRIX Identity is a stand alone product that allows staff to connect a fingerprint scanner to any workstation. Whenever a username and password is required by DENTRIX, staff can hold their finger to the scanner to gain access to sensitive information. Also great for employees to clock in and clock out.

All DENTRIX users subscribed to a current maintenance agreement will automatically receive this new upgrade to DENTRIX.
