Wisconsin dentists giving back
Mequon, WI (April 14, 2011)....Mequon dentist Sidney H. Friedman and Thiensville dentist Dale Rottman, teamed together to provide over $5,000 of free dental work for those unable to afford dental care for the 1st annual Dentistry From The Heart Day held at Friedman Dental Care, Mequon, April 9. Holt Dental also participated in the effort and provided an additional dental chair, sterilizer and disposable supplies.
Thirty seven patients were provided a free cleaning, filling or extraction.
"Dental care should be available to all," Sidney H. Friedman, DDS, explained. "In these tough economic times, dental care becomes a low priority when one needs to choose between groceries or paying the electric bill. Dale Rottman, Holt Dental, and I saw this an opportunity to give back to the community."
"Our staffs were assisted by volunteers, all working towards giving a quality experience to those who needed our assistance," Dale Rottman, DDS, added. "We appreciated the opportunity to reach out and help others. There's alot of need out there."
Dentistry From The Heart was created in 2001 to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans.
