Star Wars Quotes For Dentists

by Dr. Ryder Waldron

Star Wars is one of the most quotable movie franchises and The Rise of Skywalker, which is coming to theaters this month, promises to add more legendary lines. But did you know that many quotes from the first eight movies can be used in dental situations? Trust in the Force and use the following today:

“I have a bad feeling about this.”
– Han Solo, or your assistant when you get out a syringe at 5 p.m.

“It’s a trap!”
– Admiral Ackbar, or your brain when a salesperson asks you to join them for a “no-pressure lunch”

“Traitor!”
– Kylo Ren, or all private practice dentists when they see a colleague join a corporate office

“The garbage’ll do.”
– Rey, or where you tell your assistant to store your articulator

“An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.”
– Obi-Wan Kenobi, or you when your 22-year-old assistant asks what an enamel hatchet is

“Assume everyone will betray you.”
– Beckett, or your malpractice insurance agent when issuing your policy

“I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”
– Darth Vader, or you telling your assistant you’re going to do a different treatment than what was planned

“I can’t feel my teeth.”
– Finn, or the best thing you’ve heard from a patient all day

“Great, kid. Don’t get cocky!”
– Han Solo, or a dental school professor after you brag about your first occlusal filling

“You do have your moments. Not many, but you do have them.”

– Princess Leia, or any general dentist to their local periodontist after they magically save a mobile tooth

“Noooooooo!”
– Luke Skywalker, or any dentist when they see that patient added to the schedule

“You’re just a child in a mask.”
– Snoke, or the snooty fourth-year dental student to every incoming student

“So who talks first? You talk first? I talk first?”
– Poe Dameron, or general dentists to the specialists they’re joining for an awkward lunch
