Registration Now Open for Carestream Dental’s 2019 Global Oral Health Summit
Carestream Dental has opened registration for its 2019 Global Oral Health Summit in Nashville, Tennessee. From Nov. 7–9, hundreds of doctors, office managers, assistants and hygienists from across all specialties will learn more about combining their practice management software and equipment to change patients’ lives.

CareCredit Partners with Lighthouse 360
CareCredit, a provider of health care credit products, and Lighthouse 360, a Henry Schein One brand patient communication software platform for dental practices, recently announced a partnership that allows patients to finance their oral health needs through the platform. The deal includes Lighthouse 360 incorporating CareCredit financing education, data and credit products into its automated email communications.

When patients have an out-of-pocket investment for their dental care needs, cost can be a concern and barrier to treatment. To help overcome this challenge, Lighthouse 360 has updated its patient communications to include information about CareCredit financing, most notably adding this messaging to automated treatment plan reminder emails. The combination of consistent reminders about dental care with information about financing options should help dental teams alleviate patients’ cost concerns and encourage them to schedule and complete treatment.

Ivoclar Vivadent and 3Shape Collaborate on Aesthetic Dental Imaging Technology
3Shape and Ivoclar Vivadent have announced the integration of Ivoclar Vivadent’s IvoSmile technology with 3Shape orthodontic and restorative applications. The collaboration enables dentists to use IvoSmile when using the 3Shape Trios Treatment Simulator and restorative design software.

The IvoSmile app uses augmented reality to visualize aesthetic dental treatments in real time. The visualized treatment options are based on live images recorded with an iPad. The technology allows clinicians to show patients views of themselves before and after an orthodontic or aesthetic dental makeover by looking into a “virtual mirror.” Additionally, the 3Shape Trios Treatment Simulator app proposes a specific orthodontic treatment outcome based on intraoral scan images. The simulated situations are then transferred to the IvoSmile app to illustrate the proposed treatment. This allows patients to see the possible treatment outcome in real time.
