BDIA Showcase Is the Largest Dental Show in the UK

The BDIA Showcase plays host to hundreds of companies and thousands of dental professionals each year, who come to marvel at the biggest and best developments in the industry. This year’s showcase is being held between the 19th and 21st of October at the Birmingham’s NEC.

The BDIA has a rich history; in 1923 leaders of major dental companies came together for a meeting. These leaders included: Joseph Ash; son of the jeweller Claudius Ash, C. W Shortt; S.S. White Co. (SSW), H Edwards of DMCo, Jimmy Caldwell of Glasgow Dental, John Thorn of Western Dental, E A Drury of Drury & Co, and Jack Cottrell. In that meeting the British Dental Trade Association was formed, the BDTA now goes by the British Dental Industry Association and has continued to be a huge influence on the dental industry ever since.

Not only has it evolved into the UK’s largest and most authoritative body, they are also responsible for the creation of many charities and they themselves are a non-profit organization, with all surplus funds being injected back into the industry. Since the early days of the Association, they have held small gatherings and meet ups. This has carried on with the Showcase, however it’s scaled up a bit now!

Following their previous years of success, we doubt this showcase will be any different. As usual, they will be offering exciting launches from names big and small in the dental industry; as well as incredible lectures, exclusive discounts, networking opportunities and the option to gain some CPD hours all under one roof.
