Learn More with the BACD

The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) strives to be the first port of call for any dental professional who wants to enhance their understanding of cosmetic dentistry.

As such, the Academy runs a number of special Regional Meetings over the year, all over the country. These one-night events are designed to be an opportunity for dentists, technicians and team members to meet locally to learn about the finer points of cosmetic dentistry.

Led by some of the UK’s most experienced dentists, the Regional Meetings offer information on a truly diverse range of topics and specialisms – meaning that every interest and passion will be provided for.

For instance, topics covered last year included smile design, soft tissue management, dental implants, treatment planning and periodontal plastic surgery – showing just how eclectic the range of lectures and sessions can truly be.

Open to members and non-members alike, the Regional Meetings are fully catered and represent one of the best chances for aspiring professionals to meet with other dentists and technicians working in their area to share and discuss new tips and information on cosmetic dentistry.

Each meeting lasts for two hours and provides verifiable CPD for all in attendance, and is a great opportunity to network with some of the field’s most inspirational dentists.

Venues for BACD Regional Meetings include London, Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Belfast, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow, meaning that wherever you are in the UK, you will be able to access this fantastic resource.

Of the Regional Meetings programme, Dr Andrew Chandrapal, President of the BACD, says, “The BACD delivers exceptional support and information to its members across the country, giving professionals access to quality education throughout its ten regional groups.”

Held in numerous locations across the UK, the BACD Regional Meeting programme is an indispensible tool for aspiring dental professionals. Offering the opportunity to learn exciting new techniques from some of the field’s leading lights, the meetings are also an exceptional chance to meet and network with like-minded professionals and expand your clinical horizons.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the next BACD Regional Meeting in your area, and make sure you book your place as soon as possible!

Feedback from last year’s Regional Meetings:
“The talk was thoroughly enjoyable. It was fantastic to hear such an experienced and highly qualified speaker present his cases. Amit Patel’s presenting style kept the audience entertained throughout.” Jon Benton

“Elaine Halley provided a shrewd and highly experienced insight into the world of digital smile design. It certainly piqued my interest in the subject and the way it allows us dentists to present our patients with more options.” Dr Greg Miller

“Smile design is my favourite topic. It includes so many different specialities, not just cosmetic elements. I found Rahul Doshi to be very knowledgeable – not just of the topic itself, but as a dentist in general.”
Dr Charilaos Stratakis

“The meeting was interesting and informative. Ian Buckle was a good speaker who kept my attention for nearly two hours – which is not easy! The topic of complete dentistry is certainly an exciting one.”
Dr Gregory Wootton
