You are in an elevator. A man asks what your company does. You have 15 seconds before the door opens. What do you say?

What is the philosophy at LED?
Dr. Gane: I think Lamar hit the mark with quality products, support and service. When it comes to daily life in the dental practice, a product can actually become a detriment to the practice without good support, training, and service. We want practitioners to keep their focus on what really matters: delivering the highest level of care to their patients and building a profitable and enjoyable practice.

What makes your background in the dental industry and your position within the LED family such a great fit?
Dr. Gane: Being a practicing dental surgeon and having a longstanding career in dental imaging technology, I've cultivated a unique perspective bridging the clinical and business aspects of the dental industry. Prior to joining LED Medical Diagnostics in 2013, I served as the vice president of imaging for Carestream Dental and was also the founder of Orbit Imaging, Inc. I believe that new imaging technologies will advance the practice of dentistry dramatically over the next few years. So, the move to lead LED was an easy decision.

Roberts: Offering products and solutions that can improve practice efficiency while enhancing the level of patient care is crucial to building partnerships with dental professionals. I have spent years in senior leadership roles with some of the largest corporations in the dental industry, so when the opportunity arrived with LED Dental, I jumped on board without hesitation.

What do we need to know about LED Dental's new imaging product line?
Roberts: I believe our partnership with Ray Company and Samsung is an industry game-changer. The Rayscan Alpha system provides outstanding CBCT images while delivering high quality panoramic and cephalometric capabilities. Having worked in the dental imaging market for over a decade, I can tell you that Ray Company and Samsung take quality and high-precision engineering to the next level. Through the combination of Samsung's expert engineering with the technical capabilities of the LED Dental team, we have forged a partnership that will be tough for our competitors to match, from both a technology and service perspective.

Where did this idea to expand your product offerings come from?
Dr. Gane: When I joined LED in October 2013, we provided a single product, the VELscope Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment system. I felt it was important to diversify our imaging product portfolio. The areas that interested me were 3D CBCT, optical scanning devices and technology related to image guided treatments and CAD/CAM. When the opportunity to partner with Ray Company and Samsung presented itself, I knew we had a foundational technology that we could build from in the Rayscan Alpha imaging system. Our goal is to have the best products and an unmatched customer experience.
