Sleep Dentistry

  Sleep Dentistry

Sleep. It's something we all need. It's something many of us cherish. It's also something a lot of us don't get enough of, the most prevailing reasons of which are due to snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). According to the World Health Organization, more than 100 million people suffer from OSA, which can lead to many various - and sometimes fatal - health problems. In recent years, the dental profession has stepped to the forefront of addressing, diagnosing and treating sleeprelated issues. Sleep dentistry is becoming more than just "niche" practice, it is changing how we practice as patients ask more about it. Dentaltown Magazine is pleased to present this special section - perhaps you'll find the world of sleep dentistry is cooler than the other side of the pillow.
