What's New in Continuing Education?
Dentaltown Partners with Pankey Institute
by Howard M. Goldstein, DMD, Director of Continuing Education
It's February and we've got some great new Dentaltown CE offerings.

Just a reminder that every course released since December of 2011 is viewable on your iPad and Android tablets!

I also want to give Townies who post on our message boards an invitation to discuss a CE course that you would like to offer. Contact me at hogo@farranmedia.com. I would love to hear your ideas.

In the past month we have released these excellent CE courses:

Keeping More of Your Hard-earned Money - Improve the Bottom Line in Minimal Time by Garrett Gunderson

Garrett Gunderson, a noted financial advocate to professionals, shares ways to pay off debt faster, save more in taxes and get more insurance coverage without paying more money. In addition, this course offers how to unlock your trapped and underperforming retirement funds, and have more money to do what you want today and build your business. He empowers people to build sustainable wealth consistent with their passions, purpose and knowledge. He shows how to uncover ways to add cash to your bottom line without having to see more patients, hire new people or expand your office.

For a limited time, this CE course is being offered for only $18. In addition, Garrett will be providing a free copy of his bestseller, Killing Sacred Cows to all those who take this CE course.

Triaging the Facial Pain Patient: The Non-odontogenic Toothache by Steven D. Bender, DDS, PA

The most common reason patients will present to their physician or dentist for care is pain. As clinicians, one of the most difficult yet undervalued procedures we will perform is the diagnosis of the disease processes. Twenty-two percent of the population has suffered from orofacial pain more than once in the past six months. In order to effectively treat the facial pain patient, a systematic approach to examination must be a part of the diagnostic process. The results of the examination must then be evaluated and weighted based on a comprehensive understanding of pain mechanisms. This course will provide the clinician with a cursory background of pain definitions, classifications and presentations commonly seen in the orofacial region. At the conclusion of this course, the clinician should feel comfortable with the diagnostic process necessary to adequately screen, treat or refer this often misdiagnosed group of patients.

In addition to these excellent courses, I want to remind everyone that last year we released the best and most popular course there is on dental marketing: Dental Marketing Summit Series by Howie Horrocks and Mark Dilatush.

This series is designed and delivered to assist any dentist with the total understanding necessary to promote dentistry properly, effectively and efficiently. Participants will receive personalized marketing plans and Unlimited New Patients - Volume 3 as part of their course material.

Finally, we are thrilled to remind everyone about Dentaltown's collaboration with the famed Pankey Institute to present a series of CE courses on various subjects by esteemed members of its faculty. These courses can be viewed individually or by the whole series. The Pankey Series of Online CE on Dentaltown is quickly becoming one of our most popular series of CE courses.

Enjoy learning from the comfort of your home!
