Have you ever wanted to ask a colleague for a second opinion, but they practice in another state? Now you have the ability to upload your case photos, radiographs and notes to share.
Here’s how to post a case presentation:
Go to www.dentaltown.com. On the homepage in the upper right hand corner is a flashing Case Presentation button. Click on that button with your mouse.
You are now on the Login page. If you are a registered member of DentalTown, simply enter your Login name and Password in the spaces provided, then hit Enter or click on Login with your mouse. If you are a new visitor to DentalTown, you will need to register. Simply scroll down the page to where it says: REGISTER WITH US BELOW! Fill in the few required boxes (please remember to scroll down the page) and then hit Enter or click on Register with the mouse.
Once you’ve entered the Case Presentations click on Add/Edit Case.
In the Category Box click on the drop down arrow, highlight the category you’d like to post your case in with your mouse. Hit Tab or click on the Case Title box with your mouse. Type in a name for your case.
In the Introduction box, type in an introduction for your case. When you are finished with the introduction, click on Continue with your mouse.
Now you can add a case image. The image will need to be digital. If you know where your image is saved on your computer you may just type its location into the Case Image box. If not, click on Browse and find it that way. Once you have selected your image click on Continue with your mouse.
Now, you can view the image you uploaded and write notes to go along with it in the Case Notes box.
After filling in the Comments box, if you would like to add another image and comment, scroll down to the bottom of the page and type the image location into the Case Image box, or hit the Browse button with your mouse.
When you are finished entering all of your pictures and comments, just click Finish with your mouse.
This will take you to the Conclusion box where you can type in any final thoughts. You may also password protect your case so that only you and people you choose to release your password to can view your case. If you are not planning on checking your case often you may want to click with your mouse on the option to receive email notification when someone comments on your case.
When you are finished click Finish with your mouse
