Synopsis:
This course will take you through each step of the crown appointment, with special focus given to the CAD/CAM restoration, and point out ways to make each step more efficient without compromising the quality of care. Topics such as effective ways to take control of the appointment from the very beginning, how to save time during the procedure, and efficient material choices will all be reviewed during the course.
Completing an appointment in less time does not mean cutting corners or rushing through procedure techniques. This course is going to give you techniques and helpful tools that will simply allow you to complete a successful full coverage restoration as efficiently as possible.
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Bryan Laskin graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and formed the progressive family dental practice Lake Minnetonka Dental in Wayzata, Minnesota. The goal of Lake Minnetonka Dental is to improve lives through technology and teamwork
Dr. Laskin serves as a consultant and partner for a variety of healthcare technology companies in product innovation, as well as founder and CEO of Operability, developers of OperaDDS and OperaVR. Having dedicated thousands of hours to continuing education, product evaluation and development, Dr. Laskin is both a student and educator in the topic of dental innovation and transforming patient experiences.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
- Prepare for your restorative appointments to run more efficiently
- Describe anesthetic techniques that require less time to achieve profound anesthesia
- Describe an efficient yet effective crown preparation technique that can be performed with consistent success
- Identify how to leverage CAD/CAM ceramic materials that can produce a restoration more efficiently
- Identify efficient polishing and bonding techniques
