NEEDHAM HEIGHTS, Mass.—DoseSpot, an industry leader in e-Prescribing integration platforms for medical, dental and telehealth software, announced that ACE Dental, a leading provider of dental practice management software and patient communications, has successfully integrated DoseSpot.

For the past two years ACE Dental has been ranked #1 among dental software companies by Top Ten Reviews because of the company’s support and the software’s extensive feature set. ACE Dental chose to integrate DoseSpot Dental to meet their e-Prescribing needs and expand their product offering to dentists utilizing the software.

The DoseSpot Dental platform integrated with ACE Dental offers dentists the ability to route e-Prescriptions to the patient’s pharmacy of choice after automatically checking for any drug-drug and drug-allergy interactions. Following successful Surescripts certification, ACE Dental also successfully completed an Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) integration review by Drummond Group Inc. ACE Dental dentists can now e-Prescribe controlled and non-controlled prescriptions to more than 65,000 pharmacies nationwide.

“The need for e-Prescribing among dental software companies continues to grow as dentists are learning more about e-Prescribing and the ability to route both controlled and non-controlled substances electronically” said Greg Waldstreicher, CEO, DoseSpot. “We are thrilled to have ACE Dental as a customer and look forward to building a strong relationship with the ACE Dental team and their dental customers.”

“ACE Dental Software is constantly working to help our dental practices become more streamlined and efficient. As a leader in digital charting, digital notes and digital signature documents, eliminating paper has helped our customers accomplish this efficiency. DoseSpot’s e-Prescribing is a major step in increasing efficiency in the dental practice,” said John Hastings, general manager for ACE Dental Software. “Also, the way DoseSpot automatically checks for drug and allergy interactions makes the process much safer.”
