IRVINE, Calif.—J. Morita USA announces the R600T laser tip, a new treatment option accessory for the AdvErL Evo Er:YAG laser, and a new microsurgical blades product line, both to be displayed at the upcoming Academy of Osseointegration Annual Meeting.

Morita’s AdvErL Evo laser is effective for a broad range of applications on both hard and soft tissue and is clinically ideal for periodontal treatment. This unit offers a wide variety of tip options, now 20 tips in total, with three new tips just added to the product line. Most notably, AdvErL Evo has been studied and recognized clinically in the effective treatment of peri-implantitis, a challenging disease leading to bone loss around an implant.

To further advance the management of patients with this disease, a new AdvErL Evo tip, the R600T, has been designed specifically to improve access to the infected tissue. The R600T emits the laser from the sides of the tip, as opposed to the end, which is especially useful for debridement of peri-implantitis. This directional feature is completely unique in the market and further expands AdvErL Evo’s clinical versatility and ability to treat this condition.

Feather Microsurgical Blades have also been added to J. Morita USA’s product line. They are made of high-quality stainless steel with a two-step grinding process which produces ultra-sharp cutting edges. The round and tapered shape is specifically designed for dental surgery and offers easy handling. Feather blades allow surgical precision with a very fine incision and are thus ideal for microsurgery and use with a microscope.

They are appropriate for a wide variety of procedures for periodontal and regenerative surgery such as sulcus incision on thin gingiva, creating flaps, molar surgery, papillary incisions, and much more. All blades are gamma-sterilized and can be used immediately after opening the package. Multiple handle designs are also available.
