July 21, 2014 - Houston - Forward Science Technologies LLC, developers of OralID and CytID, has launched a social media campaign to support the underserved community, spread public awareness and help with early detection of oral lesions.
The company launched a “Like us on Facebook” charity campaign encouraging dental professionals and their peers to help them reach their first 500 likes on Facebook. The goal was recently reached and North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM) was awarded the first device courtesy of Forward Science Technologies.
NCMOM was recognized for its continued support in the North Carolina dental community. “NCMOM does great things for the people of North Carolina and we feel that adding OralID to their arsenal of tools allows them to continue their quest to serve those in need,” explains Robert Whitman, CEO of Forward Science Technologies. NCMOM is a portable, free, dental outreach program derived from the support of the North Carolina Dental Society. NCMOM is a grassroots effort, dependent on volunteers, and funding from grants and donations with a mission to directly address the Access to Care problem facing North Carolina’s most underserved. “We are so appreciative for the donation. Our patients will truly benefit from utilizing OralID during our oral health assessments,” said Madison Smith of NCMOM.
The best part is that the giving doesn’t stop here. Forward Science Technologies (FST) has committed to continue the “Like us on Facebook” Charity Campaign. For each additional “500 Likes” on Facebook, the company will donate an OralID device to a deserving non-profit organization, helping its community. "This program exemplifies our mission at FST, to be able to give back to those less privileged with the latest technology,” explains President Dr. Brian Pikkula. “We are so pleased with the feedback, we plan on continuing this program indefinitely.”
