SOUTH JORDAN, Utah—Chromaclone PVS, the new syperhydrophilic and thixotrophic impression material by Ultradent, is an exciting new advancement in prosthodontics.

Chromaclone PVS is a polyvinyl siloxane material designed with accuracy in mind. The advanced chemistry of Chromaclone PVS utilizes branched polymer resins and surfactants to produce a material with superior physical properties and user-friendly handling characteristics. Also, Chromaclone PVS exhibits no tissue sensitivity, demonstrates better tear strength, can be poured multiple times, and can be easily disinfected.

Chromaclone can be utilized for all final impression, for fixed or removable prosthodontics including crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures and implants, or whenever impression accuracy is of the prime concern.

The product is available in three viscosities: light body wash, medium body/monophase, and heavy body. All three viscosities come in either fast set (2.5 minutes) or regular set (4 minutes). Additionally, Chromaclone PVS is available in as a putty.

Chromaclone PVS features a bubblegum flavor which allows the patient to have a more pleasant impression-taking experience.
