J. Morita announces the Root ZX II OTR Module, a new low speed handpiece for the world’s best-selling apex locator.
The new OTR Module safely and efficiently prepares canals while simultaneously taking measurements. Advanced OTR technology offers unique auto torque reverse and file advancement. While preparing the canal, if the torque is less than the set value, the file rotation continues. When the torque reaches the limit, the file reverses rotation by 90° and then automatically continues in the cutting direction. If the torque limit is reached again, the file once again automatically reverses, and then continues advancing. OTR technology maintains excellent cutting efficiency with less stress on the file, reducing the possibility of breakage. Additionally, the contra head has been updated with a convenient internal file electrode. The OTR Module is compatible with standard Ni-Ti files.
