The Italian Dental Industries Association’s (UNIDI) Italian Pavilion is back at IDEM Singapore 2014 with an increased pavilion area of 225sqm showcasing 20 of Italy’s top dental manufacturers.
The Italian Pavilion will once again offer Asian visitors to IDEM Singapore the chance to discover for themselves what has made the Italian dental industry the third largest in the world in terms of volume of business, technological innovation and exports; which represent about 50% of the total with peaks rising to 80% for some categories of products.
Like just like their cars - Italian dental products are appreciated throughout the world for the reliability of their components, their avant-garde technological solutions, high quality and design excellence.
The increased size of the Italian Pavilion this year reflects Italian manufacturers’ increasing interest in Asian markets and their recognition of IDEM Singapore as the gateway to those markets. As Dispotech’s Sales and Marketing Manager Emanuele Mortarotti puts it, “Singapore gives us access to Asia’s growing markets and their increasing demand for an array of high quality dental products.
Dispotech is at IDEM Singapore to resume its contacts with its former distributors in the Asia Pacific region especially those from Indonesia, New Zealand and Japan, but we also hope to meet new partners based in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia and China, where there is significant interest in quality products among the growing affluent middle class.”
The Italian Dental Industries Association (UNIDI) has a membership of over a hundred high-calibre, Italian companies, representing the majority of Italian manufacturers of equipment and consumables for dentists and dental technicians. Membership of UNIDI is a mark of quality as it entails the observance of specific technical standards and codes of conduct and only manufacturers whose products meet the specific requirements for reliability and conformity required by current Italian and EU legislation are eligible to become associates.
Since it was set up in 1969 UNIDI has made an important contribution to the growth of the Italian dental industry, which today is one of the world leaders. It supports its members through national and international projects such as Italian Pavilions at IDEM Singapore and other important dental exhibitions around the world. At IDEM Singapore, thanks to a successful collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) UNIDI will be organising B2B meetings with local dental distributors for its members in order to maximise their business opportunities. UNIDI will also be launching the first edition of the Dental Exhibition Africa (DEA) at the Dental Tribune Lounge at IDEM Singapore. DEA will be held in Dakar from 13th to 16th November 2014.
