Dental Trade Alliance Announces New Board Members Tim Sullivan, President, Henry Schein Dental Nort

WASHINGTON, DC / November 12, 2013 - The Dental Trade Alliance is proud to announce the new members of its 2014 Board of Directors who were elected during the alliance’s annual meeting on Oct. 16, 2013. 

2014 DTA Chairman Tim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan serves as President of Henry Schein’s North American Dental Group and is responsible for more than 3,000 Team Schein Members.

Mr. Sullivan previously served as President of Henry Schein Dental beginning in 2004 and as Executive Vice President of Sullivan-Schein Dental from 1997 to 2004. He joined Henry Schein in 1997 after eight years with Sullivan Dental Products, where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility, culminating with president and CFO.

Mr. Sullivan is a past board member of the American Dental Association Foundation and Oral Health America. He is a Wisconsin Certified Public Accountant and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

“The top two things DTA has done over the past few years is raising awareness of our industry and giving us a unified voice on Capitol Hill. ... Now we have a seat at the table so that the next time there is a big issue, and there will be a next time, we’ll be able to influence the policy makers,” Mr. Sullivan said. “If we put our collective efforts into growing the industry pie, we can have a major influence on overall healthcare in America.” 

Second Vice Chair Paul Mondock

Paul Mondock is Septodont’s senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas and has been with the company for 25 years. Mr. Mondock has been a very active member of the DTA, serving as chairman of the outreach committee (2003-2004), chairman of the membership committee (2005-2006) and a member of the nominating committee (2009-2010). He was elected to the DTA Board of Directors in 2011 and also serves as exhibits committee chairman. 

New Board Members Nicolle Campion and John Tobin

Nicolle Campion is vice president of sales and marketing at Zirc Company, a manufacturer of dental products which increase efficiencies in the dental office. Zirc Company is a second generation family business located in Buffalo, Minn. Ms. Campion has worked with the company since 2000, working in multiple sectors of the business including product development, worldwide sales, marketing and finance. Ms. Campion was an active member of the 2012 DTA Annual Meeting program committee and has been co-chair of DTA’s emerging leaders group since 2011. She will continue to be the liaison with the emerging leaders group.

“That’s our future,” she said of the emerging leaders. “It’s really difficult for someone new in the industry or younger to meet people and develop relationships. Emerging leaders is all about networking. There’s always something unique.” 

John Tobin is director, U.S. Business Unit at 3M ESPE’s Dental Division. In his 25-year career with 3M ESPE he has held positions as a government affairs manager, national advertising division; U.S. sales manager, traffic and vehicle services business unit; director, global sales and government affairs, traffic safety; and, director, international operations, government affairs, contracts and compliance, traffic safety and security division. Mr. Tobin will serve as a liaison to the DTA government relations committee.
