Thanks to the generosity of Henry Schein and the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, those making a gift to Oral Health America (OHA) during the month of May can double their impact. The Foundation has agreed to match all donations made to OHA through May 31, up to $50,000.
The matching gift pledge from Henry Schein is part of OHA's Get Wise campaign, promoting the oral health needs of older adults. Although the campaign takes place during the month of May to coincide with Older Americans Month, OHA focuses on older adults year-round through the Wisdom Tooth Project. This program aims to connect older adults and their caregivers with both national and local resources and information about the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth as we age.
"With 10,000 Americans retiring every day and only 2 percent having a dental benefit, the Get Wise campaign comes at a time when the oral health needs of older adults are in particular danger of being overlooked," said OHA President and CEO Beth Truett. "We thank Henry Schein for their participation in this important campaign and for their generosity in supporting our organization."
