Chicago, February 14, 2013 — The American Dental Association (ADA) today announced its selection of global strategic communications firm Fleishman-Hillard as its agency of record, following a competitive review of 12 national and global agencies that began in Q4 2012. ADA, as American’s leading advocate of oral health, will partner with Fleishman-Hillard in an integrated awareness campaign that will educate the public, engage the broader healthcare community and support the future of access and optimal oral health for all Americans.
The ADA and its member dentists play a vital leadership role in America’s healthcare delivery system and sought a partner who could help it enhance oral health literacy and elevate issues that are essential to providing access to optimal oral health for all Americans. The ADA chose Fleishman-Hillard following a comprehensive and in-depth review of possible partners by ADA leadership.
“The Fleishman-Hillard team engaged our leadership team with an evidence-based strategic approach that illustrated keen understanding of our goals, the ADA’s many stakeholders across public, professional and policy audiences and the needs of the current healthcare environment,” said Robert A. Faiella, D.M.D., M.M.Sc., President of the ADA. “We are confident that they will serve as a strong partner in our efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of oral health to overall health and advance real solutions to improving the oral health of our nation.”
“We feel privileged to be chosen for this critical assignment for the ADA which will not only make a positive impact on the nation’s oral healthcare, but signifies the next era of ADA’s pioneering leadership in disease prevention and patient care,” said Betsy Neville, senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard and Chair of North American Reputation Management, who will lead a senior team drawing from several Fleishman-Hillard U.S. offices, practices and Omnicom partners.
